Insurance

Have questions? Please call us at 1-888-912-7583

At Advanced Radiology we participate with most major health insurance plans. Whether participating or not, we are happy to file your claim to any insurance carrier. Since insurance plans can change, we encourage you to confirm your diagnostic imaging coverage and possible deductible, co-insurance and/or co-pay for your specific imaging examination/procedure. The telephone number for your insurance carrier’s customer service or member relations department can be found on the back of your insurance identification card.

Please see our frequently asked general billing related questions for a full explanation of a deductible, co-insurance and/or co-pay along with additional valuable insurance and billing information.

Advanced Radiology cares about your health and your wallet, please read through the next section to better understand your possible financial responsibility.

A brief summary about possible out of pocket expenses

Co-Pay: CT Scan, MRI/MRA, PET Scan and/or Nuclear Medicine procedures may have a co-pay which can cost up to $250.

Deductibles: If your plan has a deductible, you will be responsible for all or a portion of the insurance carriers contracted rate for the examination/procedure you are having performed. All radiological examinations will be applied to any unmet portion of a deductible making you financially responsible except for Preventative/Screening Mammography.

Co-Insurance: If your plan has a co-insurance, you will be responsible for a percentage of the insurance carriers contracted rate. All radiological examinations are subject to co-insurance making you financially responsible except for Preventative/Screening Mammography.

Advanced Radiology’s staff is trained to assist our patients in knowing how to determine possible out of pocket expenses. Please inquire during the scheduling or pre-registration process and our staff will have someone review your insurance benefits, how they apply to diagnostic imaging examinations, and get back to you. We will also work with you on a reasonable payment plan if/when needed.

If you do not have insurance or, if your insurance does not cover an examination or procedure you wish to still have, please ask about our self-pay pricing during the scheduling or pre-registration process. Our staff will have someone call you to discuss our self-pay rates and will be happy to work with you to set up a payment plan if that is helpful to you.

Please be advised, your payment, co-pay or co-insurance is due at the time of service.

Patient deductibles, co-pays and/or co-insurance can apply to all Advanced Radiology services.

For your convenience, we accept cash, check, VISA, MASTERCARD, Discover and American Express.

THIRD PARTY – PROCESSING CLAIMS FOR INSURANCE CARRIERS

If you do not see your insurance carrier listed, it is possible for Advanced Radiology to still be considered ‘in-network’. Many insurance carriers use a 3rd party to process and pay their claims. So although we may not be a ‘participating provider’ for your insurance carrier, we may have a contract with a 3rd party who processes your insurance company’s claims. Call your insurance carrier to inquire.

WORKERS COMPENSATION (WC): When scheduling a WC examination and/or procedure, please have the name, address, telephone number for your WC carrier along with the claim number, adjuster’s name and phone number.

Prior approval/authorization is required for any/all diagnostic examinations and/or procedures. Advanced Radiology will verify your compensation claim and obtain written approval/authorization prior to the examination/procedure being performed.
