Community Involvement

We, at Advanced Radiology, strongly believe in supporting local efforts to build healthier communities. Each year, we select events and causes that align with that belief and do our best to collaborate with the organizations behind those efforts. We believe that doing so makes us better neighbors and a stronger team.

Heart Walk 2018

Advanced Radiology is proud participant in the American Heart Association’s 2018 Heart Walk at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT. This year our CEO, Clark Yoder, is a member of the Executive Leadership Team helping to drive the success of this campaign, which aims to “educate, inspire, and engage.” In the months leading up to the Walk, there are several opportunities for each of us join in company-wide efforts to help the American Heart Association increase awareness and raise funds to help thousands of people in our community live healthier lives.

Making Strides 2017

In October 2017, many of our colleagues participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT. Advanced Radiology provides screening and diagnostic mammography services to women throughout Connecticut.  Despite the less-than-perfect weather, it was a beautiful day for everyone. We are proud to support the American Cancer Society and women across Connecticut in this fight to beat the disease.

Fairfield Summer Concert Series 2017

Advanced Radiology was pleased to sponsor two of the Sherman Green Summer concerts in 2017. Music from the 5 O’Clocks on June 29, and 60’s Satisfaction on August 3 had hundreds of visitors dancing in the sunshine on the grass. Ted, Mario and Bob were there to meet and greet several local residents who had nothing but positive feedback about Advanced Radiology and its services. We also got to give away beach balls to all the kids (and their parents and grandparents, too).

The 2nd Annual Dr. Michael Meszaros Memorial Bowling Tournament

Every year we gather to remember and reflect on the loss of our Dr. Meszaros.  Mike was a joyous person and caring person. We celebrate him and our memories of having the opportunity to work with Dr. Meszros for many years.  Team naming has become an art, unlike the bowling skills of most of us. And this year the tournament was on May 5, so we also celebrated Cinco de Mayo with tacos and margaritas (non-alcoholic of course)! Advanced Radiology took over Nutmeg Bowl in Fairfield for a few hours to laugh and bowl with our colleagues and friends.

Team AdRad 2017

2017 was the inaugural year of Team AdRad – our way of participating in fun events that support health-related causes in each of our communities. Advanced Radiology doctors, technologists, managers, and staff ran together through Fairfield, Orange, Shelton, Stamford, Stratford, Trumbull, and Wilton in support of first responders, families of children with cancer, special needs kids, and several other charitable organizations. We’re proud to help our neighbors continue to build healthy communities and we have a lot of fun doing it! Many thanks goes to the organizations that sponsor these events and thank you to everyone who ran along with us – we hope to see you in 2018!

Relay for Life 2017

Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Across America, volunteers come together to honor survivors and remember lost loved ones. In June 2017, Advanced Radiology joined hundreds of participants at the Relay for Life in Shelton, and had the opportunity to meet several survivors and their caregivers. We pitched our tent full of gift baskets filled with food, lottery tickets, fitness accessories, and even a hand knit quilt with a bottle of wine, all of which were raffled off to raise money for this important effort.

The Inaugural Dr. Michael Meszaros
Memorial Bowling Tournament

Dr. Michael Meszaros was a trusted colleague and dear friend, and a man who loved to bowl. His sudden passing in 2016 inspired the creation of the Dr. Michael Meszaros Memorial Bowling Tournament. We square off in teams with funny names, proudly wearing those names on our team shirts. Trophies are awarded for the highest and lowest scores (competition is pretty fierce for the latter). Most importantly, it gives Advanced Radiology staff from across all our sites an opportunity to come together and enjoy each other’s company and remember our friend Dr. Meszaros.
